Now that the Supreme Court pick has been announced, we are reminded that elections at all levels have consequences. Having Republican control of the state senate and holding the 26th District for Republicans is essential to our fight for a leaner government that reflects your values and concerns.
If you want to help in this fight that will have far reaching impacts on not only our community, but our state as a whole, I encourage you to attend the League of Women Voters’ forum in Bremerton this Thursday at the Norm Dicks Government Center at 6:30 pm.
My platform of limited government will be presented along side my opponent’s proposed solutions, and we want people to know that there is strong support in our district for a firmly conservative candidate.
This past week, I had the opportunity to meet with communities in and outside of our beautiful district. My volunteers and I had great reception while door-belling, especially with people who want to volunteer.
I had a good response at the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon with a deep discussion on energy policy. Outside of the 26th District, the Bainbridge Island Republican Women hosted a fundraiser with outstanding turnout, in part because they understand that what happens in the 26th effects the whole state.
We have a lot coming up in the next week, including two forums! On Tuesday July 10th, the Republican PCO’s are holding a forum at the Gig Harbor Round Table Pizza for several of the Republican candidates in our district. As always, we need volunteers to help us get the word out and encourage people to vote. We will be doing our Super Saturday up in Port Orchard. If you are available and willing to help door-bell or call, please contact Jessica at 253-444-8963 or info@electmarty.com
